Ralph's Story

We found Ralph on one of our late evening jaunts to the grocery store. When we first sighted him, lying near the door in the dead of winter, we thought he was dead; he didn't move, raise his head, or show any signs of life. When I knelt down beside him though and touched his head, he came to life and the first thing I noticed was the gentleness in his eyes.

Once home where we could more clearly see him, we were dismayed. The tears began to roll as we realized the trauma this poor boy must have gone through in his few short years.

The True Lillie Mae

My grandmother, Lillie Mae, was the one source of constant love in my life. She's been gone now for several years, but we were always very close. She was a farmer's wife and I absolutely adored her. Spending weekends on her farm were always filled with many childhood adventures; playing in the haylofts, attempting to jump from one small pig house to the other without getting bit by the big ole mama sow, but my absolute favorite was simply playing in the open fields. There I felt totally free. I could be anyone I wanted to be, with only my imagination for company. I named my business after her, and I created the Lillie Mae doll in honor of her.

Prim Simplicity Lamp

These lamps, made with electric candle lamps, are perfectly prim. I made 2 of these for the top of my entertainment center and they added just the perfect amount of warmth and color. If you're thinking they resemble my "Lighted Sunflower Vase" you would be correct; I just jazzed it up and it came out perfect.
