Crafters and artisans acquire their inspiration from many different sources; whichever one you ask will tell you a different story.
My inspiration though comes from you…my readers and from the messages several of you have so kindly sent me. These wonderfully generous words motivate me and keep me going.
I have posted them below (I have deleted the names in order to protect their privacy), but to those of you who have sent me these heart-felt messages I say thank you. For brightening my day and putting a smile on my face, I am forever in your debt.

“I love your dolls. You are very talented. I work outside the home and don’t have as much time to sew as I would like (who does!?). I am so appreciative of the free patterns you post - I check your web site on a daily basis to see if you have posted any updates. What a blessing.”

“Thank you for the free patterns. The bear is what I have been looking for for a long time because I want to make plain little bears out of leftover fabrics and take them to the fire station for them to give when children are involved in an accident or fire. I also got the Scented Coasters pattern, Americana Sachet and the Shaggy Stars.”

“I would love your doll tutorial! I stumbled upon your blog a few weeks back and put you on my blog roll. You have so many wonderful ideas that you share! You are so generous! I am hoping to get to work on a doll for my Dad's little rocking chair from when he was little. I have a doll but she looks rough and I want to make my own so badly. I keep looking at different patterns, trying to decide on a style for myself (I'm not one for following things step by step, to the exact T). But I haven't found many GOOD directions. Oh, and I would love to be signed up for your newsletter, too!”

“Hi, I came across your site looking for craft patterns. My husband just lost his job after 35 years with the same company. I am disabled though I would like to find something to keep me busy and keep my mind off everything, however money is an issue. I was thrilled to see a pattern for an Annie rag doll just for the asking. Would you please allow me to have the tut? I have to say people like You make me See the world in a better way. God tells us to share our gifts (talents), and you must be a super person. I have never made a doll and I don't have a sewing machine but where there’s a will there’s a way, I would like to try making it by hand. I will ask around and maybe friends will have some of the materials I will need etc. WOO HOO I am so excited to at least try. Maybe I can make my grand kids dolls for Christmas. Doesn't that sound great? Well thank you so very much for sharing this tut with me. You will never know how much it is appreciated. God Bless.”

“I just discovered your site today and love it. I found a number of patterns I want to make. I'm retired and not in the best of health so can't get out too much. Being retired I'm also on a fixed income. With inspiration from your patterns I'll be able to make new decorating items for our home.”
